Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbs are comprised of plant, mineral, shell, and animal products. They are administered at Revive in the form of powders, tinctures, and pills. Chinese herbs are typically used in a formula that is tailored to match the individual constitution of each patient. This means that five separate patients with the same Western diagnosis may each receive different formulas based on their individual constitution. The Chinese herbs that comprise a formula are elegantly balanced to limit side-effects of the individual herbs that make up the prescription. This differs from Western herbs where most patients with the same condition are all treated with the same herb. Additionally, Western herbs are usually given individually rather than in a balanced formula.
