Dr. Kathy Do is a California licensed acupuncturist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She began her healthcare career after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2002 and spent many years caring for patients with musculoskeletal, repetitive-use, and work-related injuries. Her extensive clinical background has given her a strong foundation in anatomy, injury assessment, movement, and function that continues to shape the way she approaches patient care today.
Wanting to broaden the ways she could help her patients, Kathy went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and graduated from Five Branches University in 2013. Her approach to acupuncture combines the principles of Chinese medicine with the clinical perspective she has developed through decades of working with patients experiencing pain, injury, and
other health concerns.
Kathy has pursued continuing education throughout her career, including
advanced coursework in sports medicine and orthopedic acupuncture. Her
training includes live Sports Medicine Acupuncture coursework taught by
Matt Callison, L.Ac., as well as additional study in Balance Method and Master Tung acupuncture approaches.
While musculoskeletal care is an area of particular experience and interest, Kathy enjoys treating a wide range of concerns. Patients may seek her care for neck and back pain, sports and repetitive-use injuries, headaches and migraines, as well as stress and anxiety, digestive concerns, women’s health, and general wellness. Her treatments are individualized and may incorporate acupuncture, electroacupuncture, motor-point and trigger-point techniques, auricular acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, manual techniques, and exercise or home-care guidance when appropriate.
Kathy believes good care begins with listening. She takes the time to understand not only a patient’s symptoms, but how those symptoms are affecting their work, activities, sleep, and everyday life. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, practical care that helps patients feel better, move better, and return to the activities that are important to them.
In addition to her work at Revive, Kathy practices in occupational health medicine at Stanford University, where she continues to care for patients with occupational and musculoskeletal conditions.
